Girl Scouts Offers Solutions and Support for Girls

Girl Scouts' cutting-edge program initiatives give girls the skills they need to avoid unhealthy behaviors and make responsible decisions that will help them overcome challenges throughout their lives. In fact, 64% of today's women leaders in the United States (civic, corporate, political, etc.) were Girl Scouts and 82% of high-achieving alumnae believe Girl Scouts influenced their success. In study after study, it's clear that girls involved in Girl Scouts are more likely to lead healthy successful lives as they develop:

Not only will you find some great deals, a percentage of your purchase will be given to GSMVC.

Outright Gifts
There are many opportunities for companies and individuals to help ensure the future of Girl Scouting. Sponsorship of special events, programs, activities and workshops, or shared promotional opportunities provides both program support and promotion for each partner or simply by making a donation online.

Wills and Trusts
Creating a gift through a will or trust is the simplest and largest single source for endowing Girl Scouts. By naming Girl Scouts of Maumee Valley Council as a beneficiary you can make sure tomorrow's girls grow strong.

Annual Giving
Council depends on several different sources of income to help girls grow strong in our community.  To continue to provide quality programs for all girls in our community we need your help.  Money raised through our Annual Giving campaign will go towards recruiting and serving more girls in our community, recruit and train adult leaders and volunteers, offer more specialized programs and offer financial assistance in Girl Scouting to those that can not afford it.

Engraved Brick Program
Become a building block in the history of Camp Libbey!  Your engraved brick will be located on the wall of the new Environmental Center at Camp Libbey where thousands of Girl Scouts and their leaders go to camp all year long!

Your purchase of an engraved brick is a lasting tribute to your daughter's troop, someone you love or to honor someone.  Each brick will serve as recognition of your support of Girl Scouts.

Funds raised through the Girl Scout Engraved Bricks will fund programming and projects at Camp.  Your investment is fully tax deductible.

Each 8x14 block has space for 48 characters, 16 per line, 3 lines per block including spaces and punctuation.  Each 16x12 block has space for 80 characters, 16 per line with room for 5 lines of text per block including spaces and punctuation.

Gifts for Girls
Gifts for Girls is an opportunity for Girl Scout families to spread the fun of Girl Scouting.  Your gift will make sure that no one will go without the fun and experience of Girl Scouts.  The money goes to financial aid for girls and leaders, fun and inclusive programming and repairs and equipment for Camp Libbey.

In addition Council creates several one-time fundraisers each year that benefit Gifts for Girls.

Camperships
Send a Girl Scout to camp!
Girl Scouts believes that every girl should have the opportunity to enjoy camp.  Unfortunately, there are many Girl Scout families that simply cannot afford the cost to attend camp.  EVERY camper fees is reduced through the Campership program.  This way, Camp Libbey is assessable and affordable.

Last year over $16,000 was awarded to Girl Scouts of all ages who wanted to enjoy the camping experience.  This is where you come in. Your gift ensures a girl's opportunity get experience the outdoors while learning new life skills.  Girl have the opportunity to go canoeing, sit at a campfire and roast marshmallows for s'mores and learn to sing camp songs.  Your entire gift is tax deductible.
