Welcome to Girl Scouts of Western Ohio's Volunteer Resource Guide for the 2008-2009 membership year!
This guide contains all the policies, procedures and information you need to do your job and help build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. In addition, there are adult development opportunities including lists of all the required trainings and enrichments and program opportunities - both council-sponsored and community sponsored to choose from.
The guide will also be distributed to troop leaders on a disc. For the most up-to-date information, please check the online Volunteer Resource Guide regularly.

Volunteer Training Database
The Volunteer Training Database is a searchable database consisting of descriptions of training courses, dates and locations. Courses are offered to help build leadership skills as well as for personal growth and enrichment.

Program Activity Guides
Girl Scouts of Western Ohio offers girls a wide variety of opportunities and activities throughout the year. All program activities are age-appropriate and based on the Girl Scout Leadership Development Module, as well as on the Girl Scout Promise and Law.

Valley Views
A news publication for family of Girl Scouts, donors, prospective donors and community leaders. It is mailed and online in February and September and is the primary external publication of GSMVC. It highlights key messages of the Council to the community, and also serves as a recognition piece for key donors and collaborators.

Bright Ideas
An internal newsletter mailed and online in January, April and October for all leaders and parents. It contains information regarding dates and times of up coming events and activities both inside and outside the organization. The newsletter also gives tips to new leaders on program ideas and alerts troops to community service opportunities.
