HORSEBACK RIDING AT CAMP LIBBEY
Every year, over 400 Girl Scouts participate in horseback riding at Camp Libbey. We are again offering weeklong camps in 2007 for Girl Scouts interested in learning more about horses and developing their skills. Girl Scouts of Maumee Valley Council offers one of the most premier horseback riding programs dedicated to youth of various skills and abilities.
Girls who attend horse camp are given a practical education on riding and caring for horses and the parallels between the behavior of horses, themselves and others. Through expert riding instruction the young people develop courage, self-confidence and control. They learn to follow directions and they learn that horses have personalities like people and with proper care and attention you can earn their trust and respect.
